No. 02 — The wall

Fresh off the needle

Like the walls of our shop — covered floor to ceiling. A few dozen of the 200+ pieces in our gallery.

No. 03 — Souvenir ink

Not a Phuket design.
A Phuket memory.

Most people don't come for a picture of Phuket — they come to take a memory of it home. Which one are you?

Small minimal tattoo
01

The memory

Something small for the trip — a wave, a palm, a longtail boat, the date or the coordinates.

Meaningful realism tattoo
02

The meaning

Family, a partner, a pet, a new beginning. You're not buying ink — you're keeping a story.

Black and grey sleeve
03

The collector

Sleeves, back pieces, tigers, lions and Japanese work. Big projects planned with your artist.

Thai traditional guardian tattoo
04

The Thailand story

Sak Yant-inspired work, Hanuman, Naga and Thai script — made with respect for their meaning.

Phuket Flash Collection — ready-to-ink Phuket souvenir designs. Coming soon.

No. 04 — Styles

Pick your style

Six styles, every design drawn in-house. Not sure? Tell us the idea and we'll suggest one.

No. 05 — Salt water

Beach days first.
Ink last.

We live by the Andaman sea — surf at Kata, skim the shore break, sunsets at Promthep. Do the island like a local: beach first, then get tattooed 2–3 days before you fly home.

No. 06 — Sacred path

Get blessed first.
Then get inked.

Shrines next door, big temples a scooter ride away. Shoulders and knees covered, shoes off inside.

Before & after your session

Before · Skin prep

  1. 3–7 days before — hydrate. 2 litres of water a day, unscented moisturiser, no alcohol for 48 hours.
  2. 3 days before — no sunburn. We can't tattoo burned or peeling skin. Cover up or use SPF 50+.
  3. 1 day before — shave & cleanse. No lotion, perfume, oil or fake tan on the day.
  4. Day of — eat & sleep well. A proper meal 1–2 hours before. Bring water and something sweet.
  5. What to wear. Loose, dark clothes that open up the placement. Sessions can run 1–4 hours.

After · Beach protocol

  1. Days 1–3 — the first seal. Keep the wrap on as told. Wash gently twice a day, pat dry, never rub.
  2. Days 4–14 — nourish & shed. A thin layer of balm 2–3 times a day. Don't pick or scratch.
  3. 14 days — no sea, no pool. Salt water, chlorine and jacuzzis bring bacteria and fade fresh ink.
  4. Sun shield. Keep it covered. Once healed, SPF 50+ every day keeps the lines sharp.

Traveler tip: book your tattoo for the last 2–3 days of your holiday so the beach comes first.

Asked at the counter

Street sign: สุทัศน์ ซอย 2 — Suthat Soi 2, Phuket City Municipality เทศบาลนครภูเก็ต PHUKET CITY MUNICIPALITY สุทัศน์ ซอย 2 SUTHAT SOI 2
Do I need to book, or can I walk in?

Walk-ins are welcome every day from 10:00 to 20:00, depending on artist availability. For custom designs, full-day realism pieces and high season (November–April), booking ahead guarantees your artist and date.

How much does a tattoo cost?

It depends on the design, placement, size and hours. Send your idea and placement through the form below or on WhatsApp for a free, no-obligation quote.

Can I swim after getting tattooed?

Not for at least 14 days — no sea, pool or jacuzzi. Quick showers are fine. Do your beach days and boat trips first, then visit us near the end of your trip.

How do you keep things hygienic?

Every needle is single-use, sterile-packed and opened in front of you. Machines and stations are barrier-wrapped, the studio is air-conditioned and sanitised, and we only use certified premium inks.

Can I bring my own reference or get a custom design?

Of course. Bring photos, sketches or screenshots — your artist will refine the size, flow and placement with you so it's one of a kind.

Do you do Sak Yant, Thai script or unalome?

Yes — Sak Yant-style geometric designs (Gao Yord, Hah Taew), Hanuman, Thai mythology and Buddhist unalomes, made with cultural respect.

Where is Beach Street Arts?

At 54/4 Suthat Soi 2, Talat Yai, in Phuket Old Town (Mueang Phuket 83000). It's a 5-minute walk from Jui Tui Shrine and about 20 minutes by scooter from Wat Chalong.

When should I get tattooed on a Phuket holiday?

In the last 2–3 days of your trip. A fresh tattoo needs about 14 days away from the sea, pools and strong sun, so do your beach days first and get inked just before you fly home.

What tattoo styles do you do?

Realism, black & grey, fine line, Japanese, traditional, minimal and Sak Yant-style geometric work. Every design is drawn in-house for you. See examples in our tattoo gallery.
